Unique Visitors Vs. Pageviews:

Unique Visitors:

A unique visitor is one person who comes to your page, no matter how many times they come, or how many times they hit the refresh button: With this setting, the counter only counts them once. This is a good choice if you want to see the actual number of visitors to your page.

Pageviews:

If you have content that changes regularly, this is the choice for you. This option allows you to see, obviously, how many times your page has been viewed. This counts each pageview independent of how many actual people there are. It also adds a number each time the refresh button is pressed.

Hint: Add one of each to your page to see both numbers in real time!
